January 19: Animals Shape Review "a"
January 21: Asian Culture (Chinese New Year) Shape Review "a"
Please take note of what we are studying each day in order to participate in sharing/ circle time. I like to encourage the students to learn to be comfortable speaking in front of others, as well as teach listening skills. The students may bring in anything they would like to share, if at all possible have them bring in something relating to the theme, or the letter we are discussing that day. - I am lucky enough to be a wife, a mother of three, and a third grade teacher at Pinecrest Academy of Nevada. I have lived in Henderson for 20 years, attending Green Valley High School, UNLV, and Sierra Nevada College. I have a degree in Liberal Arts Psychology, and received my teaching accreditation through a post-graduate program toward my Master’s Degree. I also have experience not only in CCSD teaching third grade, but also working with online schools and home schooling in first, second, and third grades. My interests include movies, camping, cooking, and reading. We have been fortunate to travel to countries such as Russia, Costa Rica, Panama, Greece, Italy, Germany, and many more. Our favorite place to visit is the Hawaiian Islands. Our family is really excited to join the Pinecrest Academy family and to participate in all that this innovative school has to offer our community.
